I still have my Windows 95 CD from the LAST whole computer I bought . . . big grin smile

Published: Tuesday, December 25, 2001 | By: Dennis

Some of MCI's networks and internal data were easily available to a gentleman of the security minded persuasion. It seems that none of MCI's customer's networks were compromised, but I think that has more to do with the cracker than MCI. wink smile

Published: Thursday, December 20, 2001 | By: Dennis

I'm not going to say much about this except if you are running XP, 98, 98se and/or ME patch your system or be labeled a loser. It would appear if you are still running Win2k you are fine. The patch for XP is listed at the bottom all other O/S's can be found here

How much do you want to bet that someone at Microsoft got demoted today?

  • XP Sales Lower than Expected

Published: Thursday, December 20, 2001 | By: Dennis

XP Sales are low and really I'm not surprised. Retail sales reflect how many boxes of the new OS left the shelves and many analysts think that users will prefer to get their OS with a new computer than to buy an upgrade for their old one.

Personally I think low sales could be due to the product activation or simply that some computer users don't believe they need to upgrade.
