The Explosive Power of Silicon

Not completely related to burnt T-birds but close. It would appear that some researchers at UCSD have discovered how to make silicon explosive by simply adding "salt" to the silicon and for those of use that know how to make gunpowder, the discovery isn't really that far fetched.
