Show Notes
Diablo 3 and the Game Demo
In this segment Darren talks about his experiences playing the new Diablo 3 Beta and ponders if he will actually buy it. This of course gets both Dennis and Darren discussing the golden age of PC games where shareware demos actually worked and were a popular way to try a game before deciding if you wanted to buy it.
What is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a virtual fundraiser that helps designers and developers fund their projects using community donations. The project owner determines how much money they need to raise and what sorts of perks they will give to people who backed their project.
For Darren he sees this as a great way to get inexpensive games and also a way to actually influence how a game is developed.
