After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    CES Various

Given that CES occurred over a weekend this year we were able to stay for the entire show without running into too much trouble .  However after 2 days it became apparent that CES was not a place to see computer related stuff (it never was really).  For the computer mfgs there were two basic ways to exhibit your stuff.

    1) get a booth space on the show floor,  this is expensive and time consuming but you get a ton of foot traffic depending on your location.
    2) get a hotel suite and invite people up to meet with you.  Most computer mfgs opt for this solution as it's quite a bit cheaper.  The only problem is if you have a meeting with someone you won't always know what the suite number is until you check in.

We even had a meeting with Gigabyte this year and all we got was a confirmation of the meeting and that they had a suite in the Venetian hotel.  Come show time we never got the suite number and ended up missing the meeting.  It was sad too since that is one company we’re really looking forward to working with.

Oh well, next time it would seem.

The last page of this article is just some various stuff we found interesting so enjoy. happy smile
