Generally speaking servers tend to get overlooked in the enthusiast market despite having superior hardware in both power and reliability though when it comes to home office servers you typically get the hand me downs of the people working in the office. In this case it only seems fitting to use ex-enthusiast hardware for this project.

"Shuriken " is my most involved case mod since the Playtime Bunny Box and brings back many of the techniques and features pioneered during that mod. (Tinted window, motherboard side fans) I even went one step further by inlaying laser-cut fan grills to give the mod a very unique and smooth look.

This case mod was purely by request by none other than my very own Girlfriend. She is in the process of building a pretty trick gaming system and wanted a cool case mod to boot.

One of the most noticeable aspects of this mod is the PlayboyTM Bunny shaped window, but the mod doesn't stop there.

In the world of hard drive coolers you have two basic options, you can you a front mounted cooler that blows air over your drive, or one that mounts to the bottom of your drive. The advantage to the latter is quieter operation and more airflow.

This is an interesting project. We decided to make our modifications look as if the factory wanted them that way. The "stock" look if you will. We added a total of 5 fans to this case 2 92mm, 2 80mm and 1 60mm.

The end result was a stealthy looking mod that brought the internal case temperature down 10 degrees!
