PowerColor ALPHYN AM10 @ TechPowerUp

TechPowerUp examined the ALPHYN AM10 and noted that its ergonomic shape clearly draws inspiration from popular models like the Logitech G502 and Razer Basilisk, making it well-suited for medium to large hands. The AM10 features a high-end PixArt PAW3395 sensor supporting up to 26,000 CPI and optical Omron D2FP-FN2 switches. It offers both wired connectivity with polling rates up to 8,000 Hz and wireless operation over 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5.2. Users get six buttons plus a clickable scroll wheel, full RGB lighting, and customization via PowerColor’s Keystone software.

Equipped with PixArt's PAW3395 sensor and Omron optical main button switches, the right-handed ergonomic ALPHYN AM10 is capable of 8000 Hz wired polling, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. The shape is clearly modeled after the Logitech G502 and Razer Basilisk, and RGB lighting is on board.

When tested at full 8,000 Hz in wired mode, the mouse delivered smooth tracking and low latency, outperforming the Logitech G403 in responsiveness. Battery life also impressed, with at least 50 hours of operation under full lighting when used wirelessly. However, the wireless mode showed polling instability and higher motion delay, and the software experience had bugs and lacked polish. Missing extras like a wireless extender were also noted. At a price of $99.99, TechPowerUp concluded that the AM10 offers strong hardware for wired gamers, but falls short of the competition in wireless performance and overall software quality.
