After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Corporate Closed Doors
There were several companies at Comdex that I really wanted to visit, they included Intel, nVidia, VIA, AMD, and ATI. The first two on the list included ATI and Intel.

The ATI meeting room was located off in a secluded corner of the Convention Center next to the LSI Logic meeting room and Comdex main offices.
As for how helpful ATI was in providing information about their products, this is all the further you needed to go. Justin, featured in the photo, had something to say about that but I wouldn't feel comfortable transcribing it in this article.
Below are two of the 4 items ATI had on display, basically nothing that anyone hasn't ever seen before.
    Bad Intel - grrr
Intel was next, Much like ATI, Intel was in a secluded part of the Convention Center (completely opposite of the ATI meeting room) near one of the many front doors. As you can see the room marker was very bland, no products on display, no flyers to hand out, and no admittance without a meeting appointment. Once again Justin had words to say about that, and unlike before I was the first to express the unmentionables.
    VIA
VIA was also quite elusive. According to the map the meeting room was located in a food stand. (it was actually upstairs). The room was very empty having only a handful of boards on display and no flyers. Needless to say I took no pictures of the sad showing.

Having been disappointed 3 times in a row we decided to forgo finding nVidia for the time being and hit some of the other booths that we missed the day before.
