After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    abit

It is very nice to see abit making a strong comeback to the Enthusiast market space, though in some regards they never left.  One of the highlights of their display was a realtime overclocking demonstration of an Intel 6700 to 4.5Ghz using liquid nitrogen.  While the real-world applications of something like this are very limited it didn't stop the crowd from checking out the festivities.
Out of all of the companies we saw today abit had the most motherboads on display. While we could attribute this to a lack of size or confidence we find the effort to be a welcome change from what the other companies have done (or lack there of).
In terms of being flashy the Max series takes the prize home hands down with the unique use of blue LEDs along the edge of the motherboard.  If one was so inclined a Max board and Crucial Ballistix memory module would complement each other quite nicely.
