After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    XFX and Sparkle

Video card makers XFX and Sparkle were next on our list, XFX was bucking the trend this year and instead of having an elaborate product showing they constructed an RV complete with Air conditioning, beer (and soda), parlor chairs, and a roulette wheel with a chance to win an 8800 Ultra.

Since the theme was play hard they wanted to show that by playing hard you also need to relax so after a quick roulette game you were invited to hang out at the booth and get a refreshing drink or take in some Air Conditioned comfort. Snazzy dresser Fatality was even there on occasion.
XFX was actually in a different hall than Sparkle and in passing we noticed a display for their Calibre brand of video cards. The cards are really interesting, not only do they feature custom TEC coolers but also come with digital readout port (that you can see on the demo system)
