GA-8I915P Duo-A @ Hi-TechReviews
I just got done reviewing the LanPartyUT 915P-T12 motherboard based on the same chipset. and while I can agree that reverse compatibility is a good thing to have there is a time when you just have to draw the line and say, Whoa, now that is silly.
Then again back in the day when 72pin SIMM memory was being replaced by the 168pin DIMM modules there was a demand to find a board that supported both memory platforms. The reason? memory was frickin expensive!
"The next slot is Gigabyte's proprietary G.E.A.R. slot. G.E.A.R. stands for GIGABYTE Enhanced AGP Riser, what this slot does is allow you to use your traditional AGP graphics card in the Gigabyte GA-8I915P Duo-A."
It would seem that Gigabyte is also not requiring that you use a 24pin PSU since the extra 4 pin holes are covered by a sticker.
