Five Leadership Lessons From James T. Kirk

Published: | Posted By:

Here is a candid look at leadership lessons you can learn from TV.

Kirk’s success was no fluke, either. His style of command demonstrates a keen understanding of leadership and how to maintain a team that succeeds time and time again, regardless of the dangers faced.  Here are five of the key leadership lessons that you can take away from Captain Kirk as you pilot your own organization into unknown futures.

The lessons include:
- Never Stop Learning
- Have Advisors With Different Worldviews
- Be Part Of The Away Team
- Play Poker, Not Chess
- Blow up the Enterprise

I'm not sure if I totally agree with the last one, I mean what can you teach by blowing up the one thing that you need to succeed.  I'm sure trekkies know the answer to this one. happy smile
