Sapphire Pure Black X79N @ PureOverclock

It is hard to imagine that I got to see the Sapphire X79 motherboard first hand over a year ago and here it is, on the market, and ready to go.

Recently, Sapphire has raised a few eyebrows with their Pure Platinum and Pure Black Series in both Intel and AMD Platforms. Today, we have our hands on Sapphire’s newest release, the Pure Black X79N. With some exciting added features, we didn’t waste any time to check out this bold new motherboard.  But it comes with a very expensive price tag, so can it measure up?

It would be good to see Sapphire pushing out a few more motherboard designs, but as they told me the motherboards are just another market segment designed to help them sell video cards.  With that said we can assume that the motherboards will be specially designed parts intended for a certain market segment and priced to make money.
