SOUNDPEATS Clip1 Bluetooth Earphones Review @ APH Networks

Published: | Posted By:

APH Networks sees the SOUNDPEATS Clip1 as a good option for people who want to enjoy music while still staying aware of their surroundings, rather than blocking the world out. The build is a real strong point: the light but sturdy N-Flex Arch steel arm keeps the outer and inner modules securely clipped to your ear, sits comfortably even with glasses, and feels durable in daily use. You also get practical quality-of-life features like IPX5 water resistance, automatic play and pause detection, around 7 hours of playback per charge with roughly 35 hours total from the case, strong wireless range, plus support for LDAC and DynamicEQ Pro for adaptive tuning across different music genres.

The SOUNDPEATS Clip1 is a pair of Bluetooth earphones that offer a non-intrusive way to listen to music and the world at the same time.

In listening tests the Clip1 behaves like most open clip style designs: there is very little sub bass and almost no isolation, which is expected given the always open fit, but soundstage and imaging are above average. Where it struggles is midrange and treble detail, especially when tracks get busy and layered, so the presentation can lose clarity at times. The reviewer’s biggest frustration is the PeatsAudio app, which demands an account login, involves more setup than seems necessary, and does not offer any way to filter out accidental touches on the earbud controls. Priced at about 70 US dollars and given a 6.3 out of 10, APH Networks concludes that Clip1 is worth considering as an inconspicuous, non intrusive way to have background music while staying present in your environment, as long as you are realistic about its sonic tradeoffs and preferably avoid relying on the app.
