Thermalright Ultra Extreme Socket 1366 CPU Cooler Preview @ Madshrimps
Published: Wednesday, October 15, 2008 | By: WillI can smell the smelly smell of a new processor in the air. Intels new i7 processor is almost upon us. So this means that heatsink makers are getting lined up with new socket 1366 heatsinks. Well that is why I got all excited till I looked here and noticed it is just a different attachment system.
"Intel will launch their new Core i7 CPU series in the very near future. It will have quite an impact as it will have an integrated memory controller, DDR3 only support, and a new Socket. Just as Socket 775 it will be a LGA based socket, with the pins on the motherboard. Only this time it will have 1366 pins and modified dimensions for coolers. Let's take a closer look at one of the first third party coolers, aimed at the very high end."
On the brightside I hope they just sale the mounting system so we all can save some coin on this deal.

Government Shuts Down Massive Spam Group @ DailyTech
Published: Wednesday, October 15, 2008 | By: WillScore one for the good guys. About time someone slowed the Spam down. Cool, I just checked my spam box and I had at least 6 less then average this morning.
I hope it just takes time for these things to take into effect. "The U.S. government has helped break up one of the largest organized spam rings in the world, which was responsible for sending billions of unsolicited e-mails."
Keep up the good work.

Crysis Warhead
Published: Friday, October 10, 2008 | By: WillCrysis Warhead is one of the best looking games to date. The graphics are killer and the game play has been tuned just in the right way. I just finished playing this game and loved it all the way. So let's look at some other websites take on Crysis Warhead.
Crysis Warhead Reviewed @ TestFreaks.com
"Crysis Warhead is probably one of the most anticipated games of 2007, ever since the success of Crysis, fans have been patiently awaiting a release of a sequel. So, Crysis Warhead was released, but it's not really a sequel, as much as part of the original story, just played from a different point of view. "
Crysis Warhead Hardware Performance Review @ Hardware Canucks
"When Crysis Warhead was first announced, the issue of optimization for lower-end systems was a critical factor in its creation. Crytek even went so far as to design a "budget" gaming machine that became a focal point for optimization. Along with making the game a little more system friendly, they also worked on improving the graphics quality to keep the CryEngine the king of visual performance. However, questions surrounding a system's ability to tame the beast still remains."
Enjoy the reading, and take advantage of picking this game up if you get a chance. It is well worth it.

AMD to spin off factories in bid to save money @ AP
Published: Tuesday, October 7, 2008 | By: WillWe have been hearing the echo of this in the industry for a little while. Well it is now a reality for AMD to spin off it's factories. Let's all hope that this makes AMD stronger , and help get capitol for R&D.
"In a move to dramatically cut costs and better compete with Intel Corp., chip maker Advanced Micro Devices Inc. said Tuesday it will spin off its factories into a new joint venture with investors in the Persian Gulf state of Abu Dhabi.
The deal should shore up AMD's finances and let it focus on the design and development of computer chips. The new venture, to be based in the U.S. and for now called Foundry Co., will include AMD's manufacturing plants, including two in Dresden, Germany."
If the new Intel processors don't please the masses. Then AMD might have a good fighting chance with this new turn of events.
