    Besides the inclusion of DDR333 the 75DRV5 has included a smart CPU overheating protection system that Soltek calls Anti-Burn Shield II. This system interfaces a thermal diode in the new Athlon XP processors to accurately measure cpu core temperature. This feature is jumper selectable and will shut the computer down if the processor gets above 85 degrees Celsius and will remain that way until the processor cools down. A word of warning though this system will not work with processors that do not have a thermal diode, so removing the heatsink on a non-XP processor will have terminal results.

    I wasn't brave enough to test the new Burn Shield II system, Maybe I will make a video in the future, though for now I have no doubts about the system working.
    I mentioned earlier how many of the dipswitches are now missing from the board. Actually only two sets of dipswitches remain with all of the other functions having been moved into the BIOS. Of the remaining switches we have controls for CPU multiplier and FSB. The CPU multiplier is selectable in ranges (5.5x - 12.0x with the default being auto detect). FSB has a selectable range of (100, 133.3, 140, 150, 166), of course the actual FSB speed is twice that.

    As always the recommendation would be to leave these switches alone and choose a FSB frequency from the bios.
