After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Thermaltake Suite

The next stop for the day was with Thermaltake.

Normally you would find Thermaltake in the main convention hall showing off a lavish display showing off the majority of their product line.  However this year things were scaled back a bit, they opted for a hotel suite and only showed off the new and exciting products for 2010.

The first item was a new USB 3.0 BlacX in live demonstration mode.  The test was simple, copy a huge movie file and directory full of files from the desktop to a high speed SSD housed in a BlacX.  As you can imagine the USB 3.0 setup was more than 2x faster.
Of course there were some traditional cases and coolers on display including the famed Level 10.
This next case is an NVidia approved mod to the Element V.  It features a green black color scheme and specially designed cooling port for the GF100 video card.  As of the show NVidia hasn't released any power and heat details for the GF100 but Thermaltake is guessing it will run rather hot.
In keeping with the live demonstrations here we have a new desktop mount for the Kindle.  The surface is a super smooth rubber that holds the device with friction and natural suction.  The last demonstration was for a new super strong lanparty case, to prove its strength here is Ramsom standing on it.
Only someone confident in their products would attempt this with only a little encouragement.
