After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Manli

We actually found a new company at Computex, or at least new to us, called Manli.  They offer up custom designed motherboards and Netbooks.  The coolest part is that they have an X58 available already.
    SunQ
Back in my Architecture days I used to figure out how best to control the environment inside a building regardless of what is happening outside.  This proved especially troublesome when the entire façade was covered in a sheet of glass.  One option was to limit the amount of light entering the building with sun shades or blocking out certain windows.  This prevented you from looking out but kept the exterior of the building intact.

SunQ offering something that I had always wished was available, a see thru Solar Panel.  The panel on the left is your typical silicon solar cell, very blue and very dense.  The panels in the middle produce more power and have the benefit of opacity.  So now that huge glass façade can start supplying your building with power, keep some of the sun out (less thermal gain), and pay for itself over time.

Seems like a winner to me.
