Titan Hati CPU Cooler @ XtremeComputing
Published: Thursday, May 26, 2011 | By: DennisThese days you don't normally see an aftermarket cooler with only 3 heatpipes but they do exist, here is proof.
Titan have been "on the scene" for quite a few years now. Before introducing their Fenrir heatsink cooler, people hadn't really heard of Titan, however that first cooler proved to be very very good! As such, I have high expectations for their latest cooler - the Titan Hati. It is smaller than the Fenrir, but Titan has more experience and research now, so who knows, it could be the next Fenrir?
In looking over the review you can see that even with 3 heatpipes the cooler does pretty good but is really limited in cooling capacity.

NL: Review Block - Motherboards and Newsposter Rant

Then you have another site that does a super short and "tell you nothing" review. This review also gets some comments but seem reflective of users who want to comment but have nothing to comment on since the review is so short, or just lack the intelligence to say anything worthwhile.
See if you can figure out which review I'm talking about.

Duke Forever Has Gone Gold - Impossible, I think not

Yes, you’re asleep. Yes, this is a dream. There can’t be any other explanation for this: the game that shouldn’t be, couldn’t be, is. After over a decade in development, multiple project reboots, all the crazy promises in the world, the closure of its original developer, a shock resurrection at the hands of the Borderlands/Brothers In Arms devs and another, final delay for luck, Duke Nukem Forever is finished.
I cannot wait!, in reality I think we need to get one more disappointment like maybe a problem at the fulfillment center or a last minute patch you have to install. I mean really this whole process has been going way to smooth

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Reveal Trailer Released

Modern Warfare is back. The epic sequel to the multiple Game of the Year award winner Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 returns on November 8th. Follow #MW3 updates on Twitter via @fourzerotwo.
The trailer already has a million views, as of this news post, lets hope they don't pull it.

MSI 6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition @ PureOverclock
Published: Monday, May 23, 2011 | By: DennisTwin Frozr is a very popular upgrade that MSI offers to their video card line aimed at pushing overclocking limits with better cooling. The cooler is a twin fan design using heatpipes in place of solid heatsinks and vapor chambers that appears to work quite well.
One of MSI's popular designs is based on the new Frozr III heatsink, a behemoth cooler that still utilizes heatpipe technology to lower temperatures, but is far more massive than its predecessor. And when that cooler is slapped onto a Radeon 6950 with a strong factory overclock, it's called the Twin Frozr III Power Edition. Not only that, but it has the ability to flash up to a Radeon 6970, so you can bet we’re going to give that a go
Visually the heatsink is great to look at but I'm still not sure about the "extra tall" PCB designs they have been releasing.

Apple triggers religious type reactions in the brains of their fans

The thing that is most annoying (to me) is Mac fans who only talk about apple products or make every life reference as it relates to some apple product they own.
Of course this study is a little biased considering that the results can also be applied to Anime Otaku (Anime fans), or even followers of NASCAR.
The neuroscientists ran a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test on an Apple fanatic and discovered that images of the technology company's gadgets lit up the same parts of the brain as images of a deity do for religious people, the report says.
The first episode of the documentary shows Apple employees "whipped up into some sort of crazy, evangelical frenzy" at the recent opening of an Apple store in London.This article is full of great quotes. The following reminds me of every Tested Podcast ever made.
Observers and Apple critics have long accused fans of the tech company of taking their infatuation to an extreme.
I just hope one day to finally understand why apple products are so popular, is it really the marketing? or did they really succeed in creating computers for average people with average needs?
Now that I think about it, I don't want to know, I am a Windows user in a Microsoft world, call me a sheep or the smartest person on the planet, but at least I resisted the urge to buy an iPad.

Meet the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 motherboard, a non-integrated graphics take on the new Intel Z68 chipset. While the Intel Z68 is reknown for combining the best the Intel P67 & H67 chipsets had to offer in one platform - and let's face it, also puts the final nail in the coffin of both. Intel Smart Response Technology is a particularly neat solution that addresses the problem of Solid State Drives being too small and too costly for many people. What Intel Smart Response Technology does is bring about like-SSD performance to operating systems and applications installed on traditional mechanical SATA hard disk drives (HDD).
I have to admit I never looked at the UD5 vs UD7 comparison and there are several major differences between the boards.

Beginner Guide to Assembling an HTPC @MissingRemote

We recently covered some recommended parts for Building a Home Theater PC and today we are taking that one step further by taking you through each process of how you can build your very own HTPC. The process is not going to be identical to what you will experience as parts will vary depending on what you select, but hopefully this will give you the knowledge you need to have the confidence to try. And as usual, remember our forums are here to help you if you hit any snags in the process.
I do owe everyone a wrap-up on what happened to our HTPC build, turns out that the nVidia card I picked woudn't play nice with my Home Theater setup so I had to swap it out for a similar card on the ATI/AMD side.
Overall looks great with less filling.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 details leaked
Published: Wednesday, May 18, 2011 | By: DennisI was never a COD player until attending a COD4 LAN several years ago, after that I was hooked. Despite the poor reviews and scripted gameplay of BlackOps I still played thru the entire game, and actually had fun.
Modern Warfare 3 promises to be much like the first 2 "good" versions with even a better single person story line.
The game will reportedly start us off in New York City as the Russians attempt to invade the United States, and eventually take us around the world through 15 missions as multiple characters until we get to the game’s climactic final mission in Dubai. Gamers will be able to play characters on all sides of the conflict, and control multiple vehicles new and old, and tons of new weapons and hardware.
I can't wait!
