Hiper Type R 730W PSU Review Posted
Published: Thursday, February 1, 2007 | By: DennisThe Hiper HPU-4S730 is a very unique PSU in both in design and layout. The unit comes with 2x 20dba cooling fans and a fancy Stainless Steel chassis. The main ATX power connector is hardwired and located in the standard location, beyond that things get rather unique.

Vista Makes Me Sad @ TheInquirer

The author is from the UK (or somewhere close) and if memory serves the UK (or someplace in Europe) sued M$ and ended up winning money because they had issues with something M$ did in the software. Well as we ALL know when companies lose money either due from piracy, theft, or lawsuits their response is to raise prices to cover their costs. Now M$ might be a huge company that makes a ton of money but it also costs a lot of money to run. I find it funny that someone from Europe is complaining about cost when it was Europe that had a hand in the inevitable price increase.
"Vista could have been innovative instead of warmed over. Vista could have defended our rights instead of raping them. Vista could have been lean and mean instead of bloated and DRM slowed. Vista could have brought new ways of doing things instead of the same old same old. Vista could have been cheaper instead of a stealth price increase. Vista could have pioneered new ways of letting us use computers instead of activated tethers and licence problems. Vista could have been compatible and advanced standards instead of breaking software in the name of locking you in."
Yep funny stuff, though I'm not very happy with the new activation options either, kind of sucks when you are always upgrading your system. -

Vista at Midnight
Published: Monday, January 29, 2007 | By: DennisThousands flock to CompUSA and Best Buy to catch a glimpse of the new Vista operating system and to get a chance at finding the golden wrapper. There are a total of 5 golden wrappers hidden away in select boxes of Vista Ultimate. It is rumored that if you find a golden wrapper you and a friend will be flown to Redmond for a tour of the Microsoft facilities. The one of those lucky 5 will get a chance to add their own comments to the Vista source code. This is quite an exciting proposition.
Sadly I won't be standing in line for a copy of Vista, instead I'll likely wait for the fury to die down and buy online. As breakdown claims "buying stuff analog is just cold and bring" -

"The XFX GeFORCE 8800 GTX XXX power consumption is the highest of any Nvidia card I've seen -- it even overcomes ATI's notorious video card power consumption. The BFG GeFORCE 8800 GTS runs with significantly less power so make sure you have a efficient power supply if you plan on getting a XXX (or three). NVIDIA's minimum requirements state a 450W PSU for a single 8800 GTX but right on the box XFX recommends at least a 625W for a single XXX and 800W or greater (!) for SLI GTX XXX cards."
Its too bad Gainward isn't really around anymore. I'd love to see this card with a red PCB. -

Well this guide from ocinside should help you in getting the most voltage to your AM2 processor regardless of what the motherboard mfg gives you.
Almost makes me want to hook up the ole VapoChill.

These modules are using the famous Micron D9GMH chips which seem to be very popular with all of the memory mfgs. -
