Asustek starts delivering Nvidia nForce 4 SLI motherboards

"Asustek Computer has started delivering Nvidia nForce 4 SLI-based motherboards to the channel, according to the company and sources in the channel. These motherboards support Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Socket 939 Athlon 64 FX and Athlon 64 processors.
Small volumes of Asustek’s A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard arrived in stores last week and were sold immediately, Asustek said. The company added that it will gradually increase its shipments later this month, while shipments to other markets will start this week."
The only sad part is that they sell for about $216US each. -
Nvidia and Sony to jointly develop GPU for PS3

"Sony Computer Entertainment Incorporated (SCEI) and Nvidia announced today that they have been working together to develop the custom graphics processing unit (GPU) for SCEI ‘s next-generation computer entertainment system, according to a joint press release.
The collaboration between SCEI and Nvidia includes chip development, and a variety of graphics development tools and middleware for content creation, stated Ken Kutaragi, executive deputy president and COO, Sony Corporation, and president and Group CEO, SCEI." -
Nvidia expected to launch C19 chipset for P4s in 1Q 2005
Published: Tuesday, December 7, 2004 | By: Dennis"Taiwan-based core-logic chipset makers are bracing for fierce competition in the Intel Pentium 4 chipset market as Nvidia plans to begin marketing its SLI (Scalable Link Interface)-enabled core-logic chipset, codenamed C19, at the end of first quarter of next year, according to market sources.
Nvidia has delivered samples of the C19 to its motherboard customers, and volume shipments will begin at the end of the first quarter, or early in the second quarter of 2005, the sources said." -

I almost get choked up thinking about it.
I'm not razzing on purpose but poking fun because most of the features in their "8 SIGMA series" actually come with chipset meaning that you get them with every i915P enabled motherboard. Be sure to check out the "U-Plus DPS system" slot thing, this allows you to add another 4 phases to the onboard power supply. -

Without a doubt, it’s a Pentium 4 SLI capable chipset and it's already started shipping/sampling. R&D departments of tier one motherboard companies are playing with them and they should have some sample boards ready even now. "

Intel to bundle Nvidia-based graphics cards

This is similar to the ATI deal back in the day but has a bigger impact since nVidia and Intel have a new licensing deal.
