  The Rojack Pot has a little editorial posted to help shed a little light on nVidia's SoundStorm, the high-end audio option for the nForce.
  "It's time to debunk a myth that I myself was guilty of perpetuating for some time - that SoundStorm is NVIDIA's optional high-end audio I/O card for nForce2 motherboards.
  
  First, let's take a look at why people would be confused about SoundStorm - NVIDIA's own tech docs."
  Most of the nVidia tech docs are pretty much worthless IMO and don't really provide any usable information.

• NV35 Likely to be First on IBM List

  Earlier this week IBM and nVidia created a strategic alliance and it would seem that the first request is the NV35.
  "The orders Nvidia may start placing at IBM are said to be the company’s new NV35 chip, an updated version of Nvidia’s current top-end GeForce FX 5800 series (NV30) chip, sources said, as Nvidia’s cooperation with IBM is aimed at the latter’s high-end process technology."
  Seems like a rumor at the moment but we can hope.

  "You would say to yourself.. features? Huh? Well this power supply has one very very good feature and it would be individually adjustable rails. That means you can tweak with the turn of a potentiometer your +3.3v, +5v, and +12v rails. My motherboard reported a perfectly solid 3.3v, 5v, and 12v but for overclocking you want to raise your rails a bit to get more stability. So again by just turning the pots, I raised my 3.3v rail to 3.4v, my 5v rail to 5.3v and my 12v rail to 12.5v."
  Not a bad feature, and the review is really short too.

• Cable Gouges Broadband Users - The New Sin Tax

  " The nation's biggest cable provider, Comcast, recently acquired AT&T's cable assets. It then raised prices for those customers who sign up only for high-speed Internet service to $56.95 (Comcast's monthly going rate), a rise of 33 percent on the previous $42.95 charge.
  
  Customers will receive the $42.95 price for Internet service if they also sign up for cable television service, Comcast spokeswoman Sarah Eder said. Basic cable service runs about $12, but services with the most channels cost much more."
  CableOne, my cable Internet provider, does the exact same thing. If you get digital cable TV you get a discount on your Internet access. The sad part is when CableOne took over for @Home in my area the monthly charge went up and the line neutered from 1.544Kb to 400Kb

With all the standard high-end features like Serial ATA, Gigabit LAN and FireWire, there's simply no reason why you shouldn't consider this board. Packing a lot of devices and options in a relatively small PCB area, MSI once again showed us their strength and expertise in PCB design and layout."
  Not a bad set of features for the Granite Bay competition.

• Freedom Fries??

  Call me slow or just one not to notice but I just found this blurb the other day that has roots all the way back to WWI.
  "Henceforth, french fries and French toast will no longer be served in the cafeterias of the House of Representatives' three office buildings. Instead, the cafeterias will offer "freedom fries" and "freedom toast.""
  I also find this very funny and so very true.
  "If chauvinistic warmongers want to start renaming stuff, it should be Iraqi stuff. There's probably not much point in going after Iraqi food such as masgoof (barbecued fish) and pacha (sort of an Iraqi haggis) because Americans don't eat them. A better idea would be to tear out every page in the Bible that features an Iraqi place name, such as Babylon, Babel, the Garden of Eden, Nineveh, and Ur. The Christian right will object, but we all have to make sacrifices during wartime."
