    Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia has ordered that all karaoke bars be closed immediately. Any karaoke bar found open are to be destroyed by tanks. Not a bad idea in theory, though the application may be a little harsh. shock smile

    Hon Hai, a firm that make motherboards for Compaq and Apple, has just signed an agreement with Dell that will make it the worlds largest motherboard manufacturer in 2002. We here at Ninja Lane still have our favorite though. wink smile

  • Sell your old Windows CD-ROM

    A California court has held that any software CDs that you recieved bundled with your computer purchase is sellable. In other words, that set of Microsoft Works, or even the Windows CD itself, sell it to someone who needs it or wants it. I still have my Windows 95 CD from the LAST whole computer I bought . . . big grin smile

    HP has notified the European Union of all things merger. Canada ratified the merger last thursday, and the U.S. may balk, but can probably be persuaded. Two things stand in the way of this coming together. The Hewlett Family, and the Packard Family. It could be interesting. shock smile

    Some of MCI's networks and internal data were easily available to a gentleman of the security minded persuasion. It seems that none of MCI's customer's networks were compromised, but I think that has more to do with the cracker than MCI. wink smile

    GFS, the project of Matt O'Keefe and his company Sistina which brings relatively inexpensive clustered file systems to Linux, has released version 5.0. With this release, it is hoped that a bit more market share will be captured by the MUCH cheaper alternative.
