  • Wireless Hacking Kit

Published: Monday, December 3, 2001 | By: Dennis

With a little network knowledge and a laptop just about anyone can hack a wireless network. "War Driving" as many call it is where people drive around and search for 802.11b signals. The wireless network is a great technology but is inherently insecure. The built-in encryption is easily cracked and with network packets being broadcast similar to a radio or TV signal anyone and everyone can gain access.

  • Anandtech on the SiS645 P4 Chipset

Published: Friday, November 30, 2001 | By: Dennis

When the first production SiS645 motherboards started to be announced I became very intrigued. This chipset is the first officially licensed chipset for the P4, supports DDR333 and with the planned developments I think Via and Intel have their work cut out for them. Then again I could be wrong and the 645 might be just another SiS chipset to be forgotten. Anandtech takes a look at a SiS sample motherboard and gives use some numbers to chew on; it is a good read so I'd suggest taking a look.
