After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Case Layout and Features

The Sugo SG04 is like every other MicroATX tower on the market; it supports the standard MicroATX motherboard, and limited drive expansion capabilities.  However unlike most cases it is actually shorter than most and is not much wider than a standard MicroATX motherboard.

Expansion slots number 5, 4 are in the typical location under the ATX connector while the 5th can be found at the top of the case.
The back of the Sugo SG04 gives you an indication as to where everything will fit once its been installed.  The big open area is for a standard size PSU that completely covers the motherboard.

The side panel features a vent that looks oddly familiar.  Yep you guessed it the side vents found on the Silverstone Temjin TJ10.  The only downside to having a vent in this location is that after everything is installed you can no longer see anything except the backside of your PSU and little bits of motherboard between the drive mounting bracket.
The Sugo comes with 1 external 5.25” drive bay located in the traditional location, a single external 3.5” drive bay located along the side of the case below the PSU. And 2 3.5” HDD internal drive bays located at the bottom of the case in what appears to be a huge heatsink.
The case bottom is constructed of 2 cast aluminum plates.  These plates take on a triple duty from HDD tray, to heatsink and convenient access to the expansion slots, all without having to remove the side panel.
