After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at

    Cooler Layout and Features

The cooling fans are controlled by a button on the side of the cooler, in terms of noise the 2x 60mm fans are slightly louder than the internal cooling fan.  The additional noise is tolerable however a RPM control would help to keep this additional noise in check.
A great feature for laptops with limited USB space is the inclusion of a 4 port USB hub that supports both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0.
    Included Goodies
Choiix has included a USB cable to power the hub and something funny on the quick setup guide.

Step #4 illustrates that you should not allow your cat to sleep up against the fans.  Many of us with high powered PCs have no cats for this very reason.
Our Asus 15" laptop fits perfectly with a little room to spare.
