After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Conclusion

This is the second CoolJag heatsink reviewed here at Ninjalane and I am quite surprised with the CJC665C. The mounting system is of a non-standard design and requires some effort to install though the process isn't very complicated. Even though the included metal back plate would imply that the clips exert a great deal of force, the heatsink actually sits quite loose once installed.

Fan placement complements the skived heatsink by providing a decent amount of airflow with a minimal amount of noise. Though what really impressed me the most was how the heatsink remained cool to the touch, even under heavy load. The benchmarks and C/W calculations help to reaffirm this showing that the CJC665C is an excellent high-performance replacement for just about any Pentium 4 system.
    The Good Things
    Excellent Cooling
    Quiet Fan
    Skived Fin Design
    Included Metal Back Plate
    Easily Replaceable 70mm Fan
    The Bad Things
    Longer Installation Process
    Ninjalane Rating
I would like to thank CoolJag for helping to make this review possible.
