After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Conclusion

We're really excited about this new motherboard offering from Ty4n as it's something you don't normally see in the marketplace and what is even better is having the latest SLI technology made available on the K6-2 platform. We are not sure when this product will actually be available in the mainstream market, truth being told it should sell like hotcakes.
    The Processor
In our review we used the mobile variant of the K6-2 processor that comes with an extra + at the end. The additional + means that it requires less voltage and is one of the few that will actually run at 600Mhz by simply setting the multiplier to 2x and the FSB to 100Mhz. Sadly this happens to be the FSB limit on our Ty4n motherboard which really limited our overclocking tests.
Now for the ever popular list of Good things and Bad things. happy smile
    The Good Things
Great overclocker with easy to use motherboard jumpers and silkscreen guides
    Lots of expandability
Gives the latest SLI support to the K6
Ability to mix ATI and nVidia for increased SLI performance
    The Bad Things
Quite a bit slower than our Core 2 Duo in synthetic tests
Available drivers don't seem to work well
    Board is a prototype
Lots of effort for an April Fools Joke tongue smile
