After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Karajan Audio

Many companies have started to address common complaints that users have over onboard audio. While many of the solutions consist of providing more digital connections you can't forget about users that use headphones or have speaker systems with no digital option. The Karajan audio module is designed to address many of these issues, namely the ground loop problem that induces noise into analog sound signals.

The DFI solution is simple and consists of moving the audio codec to a removable sound board in an attempt to separate the sound chip from the ground source.
The system actually works quite well and now stays put thanks to the new mounting method. wink smile
