After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Product Layout and Features

In terms of size the Power Fort is not much larger than a standard iPhone, the "sleek curve" does bulge a little in the middle but is nor horrible.  A rubber coating can be found underneath that resembles the texture of most high quality mice.  This helps to improve grip and protection of the device and its surroundings.
Charging is handled via 2 USB ports; the smaller one is used to charge the Power Fort while the full sized USB is used for output power.  On the reverse side you will find a 3 LED flashlight.

This can be a handy feature when looking for something in the dark.
Charging the Power Fort can be done over any USB connection or using the included hardware.  The Power Fort comes in 2 basic configurations.  The first is a Standard offering and comes with 2 USB cables for charging using your computer.  The Advanced Edition comes with a handy "travel pack" consisting of a car and wall charger with international plug adaptors.
The advanced edition is by far the most versatile since it gives you the most options for keeping the Power Fort charged and ready to go.
