After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

    Cables and more.

As was stated the earlier the Toughpower 1000w has six PCI-E connectors along with three 8 to 6pin adapters

Notice the PSU power cord is a nice thick cable rated at 125v and 13amps. also included but apparently missing from all my photo's is a rubber gasket to absorb vibration between the PSU and case.

Each cable is labeled with info as to which rail they are on giving you the ability to balance loads easier.

Note: when using two connectors on the same card use two from the same rail according to the instruction manual.
As you can see in the pictures below Thermaltake has several inches space between each connector, this seems to be standard around the industry. However this makes hiding wires almost impossible and virtually guarantees large loops when running drives in adjoining bays. Since this is so common I can't hold Thermaltake soley responsible however it is extremely annoying.
Thermaltake has used very high quality components in this power supply. The wiring is of excellent quality and sleeving is more than acceptable. While I do have some small issues with the cables these are issues common to almost all manufacturers.
This unit was installed in a Lian Li V-2000B which features an inverted ATX design that has the powersupply is not only at the bottom of the case but in its own compartment. It is considered to be the hardest case for making wiring reach the components. I am happy to report the cables did reach the farthest bay devices with room to spare, if only a little, granted only a little to spare but still a good sign.
