After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Firingsquad Industry Invitational

Our last stop was somewhat special in that it was hosted by Firingsquad, a gaming and hardware website. The 4th annual Firingsquad Industry Invitational is an unique media event that allows hardware companies to show off their special skills in several arenas including Style, Performance, Overclocking, and Cooling, just to name a few.. These skills are then awarded at the end with a trophy and some fame. Btw for the 4th time DFI walked away with the Overclocking award using their famed LAN Party series motherboards.

The submitted hardware is then used as part of a LAN Party which makes the event unique and fun for those in attendance. If you look carefully you might even see Johnathan "Fatality" Wendell as he was invited to play in the competition. I wasn't given a chance to speak with Johathan personally but I did get a chance to watch him play. I must say he is very good at what he does and being able to play is only part of the skill.
The interesting thing is that we attended their first Industry Invitational 4 years ago and have seen grow to be quite large; at one point there was over 100 people in the room and 20+ computers in various forms of assembly. Sadly the lighting wasn't very good so many of our photos did not turn out but the ones that did aren't to bad.
That pretty much concludes our day 3 coverage of Computex 2007, be sure to check out the articles section of Ninjalane to find more Computex related articles.
