Still in Taiwan - Post Computex Coming
Published: Sunday, June 5, 2011 | By: DennisWow what a crazy week.
Typically my Computex trips last about two weeks with a week for the show and a week following to catch up with some friends and travel around. I don't have a travel buddy this year so I've resorted to forcing myself to find stuff to do but it is still fun.
I still owe the website some news updates and I still owe all of you my post Computex write-ups along with the famed Booth Babe edition. So stay tuned for those and with any luck the Booth Babes gallery should be going up later today.

Intel P67 Roundup: ASUS, GIGABYTE, Intel & MSI @ Techgage
Published: Tuesday, May 31, 2011 | By: DennisHere is the first actual "round up" I have seen using the P67 motherboards and given how similar they are in terms of performance I can clearly see how this might be the best way to represent all of the major boards you can choose from.
We've been a little short on motherboard content lately, so to kick things back into action we're taking a look at four P67-based motherboards at once - all benchmarked using our newly revised test suite. The boards we're looking at are the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe, GIGABYTE P67A-UD4, Intel DP67BG and MSI P67A-GD65.
The real question is, which board will they pick as an overall winner. You'll have to read the review to find out.

How to spot a psychopath
Published: Thursday, May 26, 2011 | By: DennisI would like to say I'm pretty good at the "guess who is crazy" game but sometimes the worse of the bunch also appear perfectly fine, in fact that is the real danger.
It was visiting hour at Broadmoor psychiatric hospital and patients began drifting in to sit with their loved ones at tables and chairs that had been fixed to the ground. They were mostly overweight, wearing loose, comfortable T-shirts and elasticated sweatpants. There probably wasn't much to do in Broadmoor but eat. I wondered if any of them were famous. Broadmoor was where they sent Ian Brady, the Moors murderer, and Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper.
So how do you get out of the "mad house" once you have gotten yourself in there? Simply put, you don't!. Most of the time you have committed a crime and while you avoid jail time you are still locked away until you can prove you are ready for the jail time.
Double edged sword for sure.
Its a good read, give it a look

Titan Hati CPU Cooler @ XtremeComputing
Published: Thursday, May 26, 2011 | By: DennisThese days you don't normally see an aftermarket cooler with only 3 heatpipes but they do exist, here is proof.
Titan have been "on the scene" for quite a few years now. Before introducing their Fenrir heatsink cooler, people hadn't really heard of Titan, however that first cooler proved to be very very good! As such, I have high expectations for their latest cooler - the Titan Hati. It is smaller than the Fenrir, but Titan has more experience and research now, so who knows, it could be the next Fenrir?
In looking over the review you can see that even with 3 heatpipes the cooler does pretty good but is really limited in cooling capacity.

NL: Review Block - Motherboards and Newsposter Rant
Published: Thursday, May 26, 2011 | By: DennisMotherboard reviews are an interesting thing, some sites do this massively in-depth review and get some amazing comments but no real fame. Then you have another site that does a super short and "tell you nothing" review. This review also gets some comments but seem reflective of users who want to comment but have nothing to comment on since the review is so short, or just lack the intelligence to say anything worthwhile.
See if you can figure out which review I'm talking about.
