Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Review @ OCC
Published: Tuesday, March 4, 2008 | By: DennisThe E8500 processors are the new Wolfdale cores running at 1333Mhz FSB. The E8400 is available for around 300 bones.
Overclocking this chip has been a pure pleasure. When paired with the X38 chipset, the potential could be far out there with the correct cooling setup. I started at 400 x 9 and 1.35v and the system booted so flawlessly that I knew that it was thirsty for more. So I jumped the multiplier to 9.5 and kept raising the FSB by 15MHz while keeping the voltage the same until it would not boot.
Sounds like fun.

100% Passively cooled case build @ Metku

That time the fan noise was amazingly high, and manufacturers didn´t much care about the noise levels, and didn't offer products for building a quiet PC. Nowadays a quiet PC is not much of a challenge to build, but totally silent?
Think it can be done? I think so, it's "that" hard to do

Personally I would have liked to see a new nVidia chipset but that might have to wait. I'm thinking it might be around the Computex timeframe.

The market for CPU heatsink and fans has grown quite saturated -- but with this saturation also comes a diversity that allows for a different heatsink to suit every preference. From performance heatsinks, noise conscious designs, to value/budget products, there's at least a dozen from various brands to fill in the specific market niche -- or maybe even a combination of two or more.
Seems they were thinking the very same thing.

It's a cool idea that'll appeal to everyone's better nature without the theme park price tag. This should please a lot of people. And the novelty of it should resonate among the younger people. My daughter saw the pictures from CES and thought it was the coolest thing for kids who want to take music over their friends house, or for school projects. She knew exactly what it would probably best be suited. So, you can imagine the excitement level while taking pictures. I'd like to have played with it a little longer, but apparently, it's not my turn anymore.

CoolJag Falcon 92-CU CPU Cooler Review @ Hardware Canucks

CoolJag is not a very well-known company in the cooling market but they are quickly trying to make a name for themselves. With the release of their Falcon 92-CU it looks like they have done just that. This all-copper CPU cooler promises to be the best air cooler on the market but can its performance match that claim?
Well all know that CoolJag has been around for years, nobody hears about them because they deal mostly with OEMs and companies looking to rebrand their stuffs.
