This software is without a doubt one of the easiest and fastest ways to optimize system performance by cleaning up the Windows registry. I noticed an immediate improvement in startup and shutdown times and programs open faster as well. Overall, the computer just runs a whole lot smoother and it only took a few minutes from start to finish. The interface is straightforward and designed in such a way that just about anyone will feel comfortable using it, and with backups automatically performed there's little to worry about in the way of any problems arising.
software is like filling up with 110 octane fuel and changing your spark plugs. It runs better but that's about it.
oh and phj34r not we won't be posting stuff like this very often, that is unless I get one email saying that software review is the bomb, -
Swiftech Apogee Ultimate Liquid Cooling Kit @ Motherboards

"If you want a liquid cooling system that is functional, flexible and able to be customized to whatever your needs may be, Swiftech is your kind of company. This system uses a self-powered Apogee drive water-block combined with a triple radiator, three fans and dual Stealth VGA coolers. This was done in order to make one bad ass liquid cooled super system based on NVIDIA’s SLI platform. As you can see from the results we were able to overclock our 3.0GHz QuadCore X6850 to 4.0GHz without any warranty voiding mods or outlandish voltage increases."
We still like the Danger Den stuff but really the DIY market has really hit a lull. -
Intel Core2Quad Q6600 overclocking guide @ Hardwareoverclock Austria

Hardwareoverclock Austria has posted a new overclocking guide. The Intel Core2Quad Q6600 is a very popular processor. Especially the G0 stepping is very interesting for various overclocking projects. Hardwareoverclock Austria shows in their article many important steps how to overclock the Q6600.
Nothing really extreme about this review but they do churn out some impressive numbers (ie 4Ghz!) -
abit IP35 Pro "Off Limits" (Intel P35) @ HardwareZone
Published: Monday, November 19, 2007 | By: DennisHere is a "plain jane" blue board from abit based on the p35 chipset. To be honest we haven't followed abit as much as we should so its hard to say if these are "really all that".
Interestingly enough, abit eschews the usual approach of tacking on feature after feature on the IP35 Pro and instead sat down to seriously develop a board that boasts quality instead of quantity. Because of this however, the IP35 Pro may look a little 'plain', more so since the board is one of those that came later in the game in the wake of ASUS and Gigabyte’s monster motherboards. Still, the build quality of the IP35 Pro stands out and abit has taken really good care to optimize its design. -
Gainward 8600GT Goes Like Hell Review @ XSReviews

Yes that's right, another 8600GT review from XSReviews; this time it's a Gainward. Featuring a large and interesting cooling solution, will Gainward's card be our favourite 8600 so far? Read on to find out.
On a side note after Gainward went away we switched over to XFX, however after a rather disappointing meeting with the arrogant XFX sales and marketing team at Computex I am left with the question of. "How the hell do I dump this crappy XFX gear?"
Btw its nice to see the Gainward folks still using the red PCBs -

Even at the resolution of 1920x1200, the MSI NX8800GT is such a strong competitor to the GeForce 8800 GTX, that the same AA settings that were reported at the resolution of 1680x1050 are also reported here. Once again, the NX8800GT is outperforming the GeForce 8800 GTX in Dark Messiah and in two of the three settings in Oblivion. -
XCLIO 6030 Plus ATX Enclosure Review @ Virtual-Hideout
Published: Monday, November 12, 2007 | By: DennisWe really like the xClio PSU's here at Ninjalane, and makes you wonder how good their cases are. Well here is a rather short review of the 6030 from Virtual Hideout.
In this review I will be going over a newenclosure from XClio called the 6030 Plus. Xclio offers several differentstyles of enclosures along with a line of power supplies. The 6030Plus is anall black enclosure with a large side panel intake fan. How large of a fan youask? How about 360mm big. This large fan should push hot air right of theenclosure and do so with low RPM's which mean lower noise. Also when things areon the cool side a built in fan speed controller is also included.
Our 2 cents? Stick with the PSUs but forget the cases ever existed. -
