Gainward BLISS 8800 GT 1GB Golden Sample Review @ MVKTech
Published: Monday, January 21, 2008 | By: DennisWe have always had a soft spot for Gainward products, the quality was there, the performance was there, and the boards were red.

Welcome to the world of Gainward, a world beyond your senses! Gainward is a world leading producer of high-quality, high-end 3D accelerators for the personal computer market. Yes for quite some time the G80 graphics chips have been ruling as kings on the high-end graphics market, and in fact they still do. Though since not so long, meaning since the last months of last year NVIDIA has refreshed their GeForce 8800 series by reducing the die and came up with the G92 chipset which is produced at only 65nm. These smaller, more optimized G92 chips are now reviving the GeForce 8800 range with a GT and GTS version, replacing the G80 based versions.
We can only hope that Gainward will come back to the states sometime soon. -
Danger Den Water Cooling
Published: Monday, January 21, 2008 | By: DennisSadly watercooling has really fallen out of the mainstream lately, chalk it up to a limitation in what to do next but I think the mainstream kits like Corsair and Koolance have ruined it for everyone.
However there is one name that still remains true to its roots, Danger Den.
Here are a couple review fer ya

- Danger Den MC-TDX Waterblock @ techPowerUp
Coolit has also gotten into doing a watercooling kit, with any luck we should have one in the Ninjalane Labs before too long.- CoolIT Water-Cooling Products @ Hardware Secrets

Upgraded Ninjaforum Now Available!
Published: Sunday, January 20, 2008 | By: DennisThis has been a long time in the making but the Ninjalane Message Forum has gotten a facelift. Yep its true with the availability of a new version of PhpBB we here at Ninjalane took the liberty to upgrade, prune, and refresh the entire forum.
Now before you get all teary eyed, everything from the old forum had been migrated over, including posts, users, and even attachments. However there were some topics that had been abandoned and several users that appeared to be bots (or never came back after signing up). So as they say in that Office Space movie "They have been let go."
So what is new?
Aside from the updated and feature enhanced forum we have also added an Upgrade Alley section so you can provide us with some feedback in regards to the various upgrades and even discuss what you'd like to see featured next. We have also consolidated some of the topics and did away with the "Specific Hardware" section for the time being. We urge all of you to stop by the new Ninjalane Message Forum, kick back, and post some stuff.
Also keep in mind we'll be featuring several traffic building exercises including giveaways and contests and existing members will get twice as many chances to win!
Update: seems there was a slight problem with forum registration, the issue has been resolved.

Antec P182 Review @ SweMOD
Published: Friday, January 11, 2008 | By: DennisThere was a time when Antec cases were really the only way to go. Now it seems this isn't always the case. While we would agree this case looks awesome, its not really modder friendly.
Today we are taking a look at our first computer case since our restart in October 2007. It is the Antec P182, a super mid tower in the performance series.
Antec is well known for creating computer chassis, power supplies and much more. Even if the P182 has some time on its neck it is really fun to have it for test as it is one of the most clean, good looking cases on earth. -

AOL cancels active development on Netscape browser
Published: Sunday, January 6, 2008 | By: DennisThis is really sad news, or at least I think so.
I suppose its only fitting considering that the last really "good" Netscape browser was Netscape 7, 6 was nice but really slow, and well 4 started well but fizzled off due to the lack of support.
8 and above were nothing but jokes.
Dulles (VA) - America Online (AOL) is planning to stop all active development on the Netscape browser, once the most popular browser on the Internet, beginning February 1, 2008. AOL's business focus will be on trasitioning to an ad-supported Web business, and it leaves little room for the size of investment needed to get the Netscape browser to a point that many of its users expect it to be, according to the company.
I was an avid supporter of Netscape and held on to NS7 for way to long before seeing the light and switched to Firefox. Sadly my reasons for holding on were because I really liked the animated Netscape "throbber" graphic.
Crazy huh?
