    OMG!
"Sources in Taiwan again confirmed that Nvidia's upcoming GPU (graphics processing unit) GeForce 8800 (formerly codenamed G80) is designed to fully support Microsoft's DirectX 10 Shader Model 4.0 technology. Nvidia is scheduled to officially launch the new GPU on November 8, the sources said."
    -- snip --
"Using Nvidia's reference designs, makers will roll out graphics cards equipped with a recommended 768MB or 640MB of on-board memory for the GeForce 8800 GTX and the GeForce 8800 GTS, respectively, the sources stated. With a different memory clock (900MHz versus 800MHz) and memory interface (384-bit versus 320-bit), the cards will vary in memory bandwidth (86.4GB/s versus 64GB/s) and texture fill rate (36.8 billion versus 24 billion texels per second), according to the sources."
This is crazy, i haven't even broken my 2x 7900GTs in yet! tongue smile

  • Mega Watercooling Roundup @ Virtual-Hideout

Published: Monday, October 30, 2006 | By: Dennis

You'll find several of our favorites in this roundup and maybe eventually you'll see some of the Ninjalane branded blocks in a similar sort of situation.
"This summary should help you cut some of the decision making short or help you decide what components you want to mix and match in your system. However, do keep in mind that each kit is being revised or replaced constantly and the best thing to do is to double check each sponsor or manufacturer web site to be better informed. There are other kits on the market besides the "Fabulous 8" we reviewed and it's very possible something new will be added later on."

  • Embryo Zero Case Mod @ MetkuMods

Published: Monday, October 30, 2006 | By: Dennis

Here is something we haven't seen much of around these parts, Case Modding, Well I take that back I did just recently finish a watercooling mod for one of the Ninjalane development servers. Its green, it glows, and I call it Shego. tongue smile
"Being fed-up with my laptop's small display, I decided to switch back to desktop computing. When choosing parts for my new pc, I came to the conclusion that none of the ready ATX-cases were satisfying enough. I decided to build a case by myself and thought I could also save some money that way. In the end, this case ended up being more expensive than most
regular cases but at least it is unique, MY case."

  • FOXCONN 975X7AB-8EKRS2H (LGA775) Motherboard Review @ Virtual-Hideout

Published: Monday, October 30, 2006 | By: Dennis

"The board's design and layout are well thought out making it very nice to work with. Configuring the motherboard and its BIOS are simple and easy to understand. The more avid over clocker who wants access to every option will find the current BIOS some what limiting which can easily change with future updates."
The Foxconn 975X7AB appears to be rather popular this month.

Here is another one. happy smile
"The motherboard that reigns at the top of Foxconn’s list for Intel processors is the 975X7AB. The board offers all the bells and whistles of the 975X chipset for about hundred dollars cheaper than most and offers a lot of performance to boot. Well, it's time to see how well the 975X7AB stacks up against the rest."

  • Foxconn 975X7AB-8EKRS2H Review @ Hardware Zone

Published: Monday, October 30, 2006 | By: Dennis

"Foxconn's upgraded Intel 975X Express motherboard now features Core 2 and DDR2-800 support. The 975X7AB-8EKRS2H has all the good things going for it as far as an enthusiast should be concerned about: price, performance and features, though setting up can be a tricky affair."

  • ECS KA3MVP Extreme Motherboard @ Legit Reviews

Published: Monday, October 30, 2006 | By: Dennis

Now here is a strange sight, ECS doing performance and with a bright purple motherboard to boot. This reminds me a little of the Soltek “Violet Eyes" motherboard from the way back. (which I still have btw)
"When it comes to high-end, uber-overclocking, record-breaking motherboard manufacturers, you usually do not think about the ECS. ECS has been a huge OEM for many years, and has never really produced anything that would be considered top-dog as far as performance goes. They did have the K7S5A that may bring back alot of memories (good and bad) for those that have been in the overclocking scene for awhile. I went through a few of those boards myself! Today, we have the ECS KA3MVP Extreme motherboard to look at. ECS touts this board, as the name suggests, as an MVP board and they say it is extreme. Well, let's take a look at the board and see if it is all that!"

  • ABIT Fatal1ty AN9 32X Motherboard Review @ Motherboards

Published: Monday, October 30, 2006 | By: Dennis

"ABIT has done a wonderful job with the Fatal1ty AN9 32X board. The board scored over 40 points on our features scoring system, with SLI, Firewire and other features making it one of the most feature-rich boards on the market. Performance was on a par with other boards on this chipset with the default clock speed, but the overclocking was very good on the board making it an excellent choice for people that want the absolute best."
I'm not sure about their scoring system but I must say that this is a very sweet looking motherboard.

  • TWIN2X2048-6400C4D DOMINATOR Memory Delivers Innovative Features including Dual-Path Heat Xchange

Published: Monday, October 30, 2006 | By: Dennis

Corsair is at it again with an patent pending design.
"Corsair’s patent pending DOMINATOR printed circuit board and 4-layer heat sink design offers superior heat dissipation than standard heat spreaders thanks to the DHX technology. It substantially increases the memory module’s thermal dissipation so that the heat generated by the RAM cells can be more efficiently removed from the module via two paths. RAMs that run at lower temperatures enjoy improved performance and extended reliability. Available in 2GB kits, the new TWIN2X2048-6400C4D is fully optimized to deliver rock solid stability."
    No lights this time?

  • Foxconn 975X7AB-8EKRS2H Motherboard Review Posted

The layout of this motherboard is very well designed with quite a bit of detail given to making room for two monster video cards. Of course if you don't have two monster video cards you'll get to use the abundance of expansion slots otherwise you'll likely be down to a single 1x PCI Express slot and one regular PCI.
