BlueGears HDA Digital X-Mystique 7.1 Gold Sound Card @ A True Review
Published: Saturday, July 30, 2005 | By: DennisFor those of you like me that hate to use onboard sound but are also upset with the current Sound Blaster options might find the specialized cards like the one from BlueGear to be just what you are looking for.
"The last physical design of the X-Mystique 7.1 Gold that is worth mentioning is its onboard IC amp chips are upgradeable/replaceable. Instead of being soldiered to the board, the 6 onboard IC amp chips are simply plugged into the board via DIP sockets. Of course for most users, this does not mean anything. Upgrading these dual DIP type OPAMP controller preamp circuits should be reserved for audiophiles and/or those with engineering knowledge."
Upgradeable sound cards, you can't get much better than that.

Building a Home Theatre PC @ PC Stats
Published: Saturday, July 30, 2005 | By: DennisPersonally I would much rather spend the time and effort actually building a component level home theater system but for what you get a PC based system might be just as rewarding.
" In this Do-It-Yourself Guide, PCSTATS are going to walk you step-by-step through the process of assembling your own home theatre PC out of contemporary components. We'll also explore the various things you can do with an HTPC after it's built." -

Raidmax X-1 Case Review Posted
Published: Monday, July 25, 2005 | By: DennisIt is a little known fact that we have never really liked pre-modded cases here at Ninjalane but really for the wrong reasons. For us a pre-mod takes all the fun out of building a custom case and depending on where you shop they can often be quite ugly. However all pre-mods are not the same and the Raidmax X-1 is a good example.

My project development has somewhat slowed, I could blame my lack of motivation on the 100+ degree weather as it has really brought out the sleepy dog in me. (so to speak) Stay tuned details to follow. -
Funny Google Antics
Published: Tuesday, July 12, 2005 | By: DennisGoogle is so much fun at times. doing a search for "phj34r Corsair" will render (at the time of this posting) 6 results with some hidden and 4 of them point directly to Ninjalane or a Ninjalane site.
Corsair should be happy that we are pimping them so much.

WaterChill 12V pump system with integrated reservoir and more
Published: Tuesday, July 5, 2005 | By: DennisBreak out that IE and head on over to asetek, they have a slick new 12v Waterchill pump that puts many of the pond pumps we have been using to shame.
"The NEW WaterChill 12V DC pump system with integrated reservoir and USB/Software-based control unit is the first of its kind. Packed with features and design that ensure every consumer with the markets best usability and developed especially for water-cooling this 12V pump system utilizes the ultimate balance between flow, pressure and power consumption (heat dissipation) for maximum performance."
