Soltek out of Business?
Published: Thursday, September 29, 2005 | By: DennisThe current news that I'm getting is that Soltek closed up shop and is no longer building motherboards.. I have yet to confirm this however considering that all of my contacts within the company no longer work there I have little reason to doubt anything.
Soltek was not a huge brand here in the States but they did make a very solid product that responded well to overclocking and general performance mods, not to mention being one of the original companies to offer a sexy red PCB and a variety of themed motherboards that appealed to casemodders and enthusiasts alike.
Also not to mention the qBIC SFF case, I still wished I could have reviewed one or three but I never could convince them to actually send a sample after promising that one would be sent.
Anyhow, If anyone has any solid news on this please send it over.
*update* found this in the PC Per forums. http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?p=3601444&postcount=3 -
Bytecc One Button Backup (ME-808) Enclosure Review Posted
Published: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 | By: DennisWhile most of us do not require an enterprise level backup solution it is good to know there are better ways to backup your data than to store a copy on tape or save bits of info to 1000's of floppy disks.

TYAN Tomcat K8E (S2865) Review @ BFR
Published: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 | By: DennisBack in the day I would swear by Tyan for their quality, being that I still have 2 5+ year old systems up and running with Tyan mobos I don't think anyone will question my judgment. (however they can think I'm crazy all they want)

"This BIOS is an overclocker's dream. Pictured above are the many options available to the user giving them full control over voltage settings to the CPU, Chipset, and memory. It allows for the configuration of the CPU frequency and HyperTransport frequency and width. The bottom-most menu is obviously used to fine tune the memory timings giving access to the Tcl, Tras, Trcd, and Trp settings as well as the memory clock speed."
Maybe not the most informative review but they tend to cover the bases best they can. -
Thermaltake Tai-Chi Case Review @ AMD Review
Published: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 | By: DennisHere is actually an Aluminum case I might consider buying.
"The front of this case includes a 120mm Fan with lights, ensuring plenty of air flow. The front bay panels are made of the same thick aluminum like the rest of the case. There is a movable front panel contoller and a extra storage tray which are both great features."
I really like how the case doubles as a heatsink though without any direct connection between the heatsource and the case. -
ThermoChill announce the PA120 Series
Published: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 | By: DennisThe radiator designed by people for people. Can't wait to see the results.

The PA Series boasts from 10-40% better performance over the HE Series. 10% for the high / noisy airflow end of the fan market, and up to 40% for the low airflow / silence end of the market. " -
Edifier e3100 Speaker Review Posted
Published: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 | By: DennisSpeakers are something that we typically don't concern ourselves with here at Ninjalane primarily due to how difficult they are to review but every once in a while a special product finds a way into the Ninjalane Labs that deserve a second look.
