"With Cool’n’Quiet enabled, chip voltage and multiplier drop significantly. With the same HTT speed, the multiplier drop from 10x to 5x effectively cuts the speed down to barely over 1 Ghz. Voltage drops too, hovering barely below 1.07"

"This is a great case, though lacking the 120mm fan options for intake and exhaust, this is a great fully stacked case for anyone wanting that unique look that does'nt fit in with all the factory modified cases that we've seen in the past. The XGBox Viper gets a definite 9 out of 10 stars vote from me here." -

Soyo KT880 Dragon 2 Review @ FastLaneHW
Published: Thursday, February 24, 2005 | By: DennisDoes anyone even care about Soyo anymore?? I seem to remember that Soyo was the bomb back in the day though the products had a nasty problem of not living up to the hype.
"This board certainly has some nice features. One big feature which is not present on previous boards from Soyo is support for Dual Channel. Another big feature is the support for four SATA drives and eight IDE drives. Yes, that is twelve devices. Simply amazing."
Does anyone remember what "DRAGON" stands for?? -
Soltek SL-K890Pro-939 @ Viper Lair
Published: Thursday, February 24, 2005 | By: DennisWe have been really impressed with the K8T890 Pro offering from Soltek (see our review here) and it would seem that the Viper Lair peeps feel the same way.
"One item that we've seen in a few boards is a diagnostic LED. The SL-K890Pro-939 places this LED at the edge of the board, near the last PCI slot. The manual includes the code translations, but this is a nice feature that will assist veterans and newbies alike when troubleshooting thier system."
However the quote doesn't convey that message.

Nvidia nForce4 SLI motherboards help boost DFI’s January revenues 28%

"Better than expected sales of its two recently released Nvidia nForce4 AMD64 motherboards helped push DFI’s January revenues up 28% sequentially to NT$242 million, according to the company.
DFI released the two high-end motherboards – the LANParty NF4 SLI-DR and LANPartyUT NF4 Ultra-D – earlier this year and expected to ship 7,000 units in January, boosting its revenues 10% on month. However, stronger than expected demand helped the company ship about 10,000 units last month, and DFI expects shipments of the two motherboards to total 17,000 units in February. About 25% of the shipments were for the SLI-based NF4 SLI-DR motherboard, sources at the company pointed out." -
ULi readies K8 solution and first dual-channel DDR2 northbridge

"Taiwan-based chipset vendor ULi plans to begin mass production of a new all-in-one chip solution for AMD K8 processors in the second quarter of this year and aims to begin manufacturing its first product with dual-channel DDR2 memory support at year-end, according to the company’s associate vice president Bruce Tai."
