The Packard family still intends to vote against the merger. The two families together hold about 18% of HP shares.

In other words, that set of Microsoft Works, or even the Windows CD itself, sell it to someone who needs it or wants it. I still have my Windows 95 CD from the LAST whole computer I bought . . .

HP and Compaq move forward

Canada ratified the merger last thursday, and the U.S. may balk, but can probably be persuaded. Two things stand in the way of this coming together. The Hewlett Family, and the Packard Family. It could be interesting.
