After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Conclusion

Like before the Demonic X.T.C. has been a great block to work with and many of the issues from the first review have been addressed. The mounting hardware is now using a post system that reduces lateral block movement. This gives the water block more stability during installation and for when you may move your system around. The thumbscrews are made from nylon but are strong enough to hold the block down without bending.
The anodized hose barbs are a new item and having been made from aluminum they are unlike anything that I've ever seen. These barbs have been specifically designed for the Demonic XTC but could be used on other parts of your watercooling system when applicable. As mentioned before the center barb contains an acceleration jet that has helped increase performance by widening the spray pattern and increasing water velocity.
    The Good Things
    3 barb "high-flow" cooling solution
    Anodized aluminum hose barbs
    Anodized aluminum mounting hardware
    Hand lapped base
    Excellent cooling
    The Bad Things
Acceleration jet needs alignment during installation
    Nylon thumb screws
    Requires mounting holes
