After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Board Layout and Features
The Soltek SL-75FRV is basically your typical no frills motherboard. When you see the board specs you will understand what I mean.

    VIA KT400 Chipset
    1 AGP 4x/8x slot
    5 PCI
    3 DDR 200/266/333/400*
    RedStorm Overclocking
    BIOS FSB Settings (100-200MHz)
    Ultra ATA 66/100/133
    BIOS Vcore setting
    BIOS AGP voltage setting
    BIOS DIMM voltage setting
    AC'97 6-channel audio
    USB 2.0 x6
    SCR (Smart Card Reader) Interface
    H/W Monitor on board
Anti-Burn Shield II (temperature Bios adjustable)
    Optional Onboard Ethernet

    * Soltek typically runs a DDR400 Memory Module Validation Program for the VIA KT400 and P4X400A chipsets. More detailed information can be found on their website.
The board also comes with an impressive set of "full-version" software like Partition Magic and Drive Image Pro (most are not usable with WindowsXP) along with the other needed items such as a users guide, software manual for the included software, ATA133 and floppy cables. The items you won't see include the 6-channel audio adapter, additional USB cables and the once popular Thermal cable for device temperature monitoring.
Of course all of these items can be purchased from Soltek or any authorized distributor, though you shouldn't have to IMO.
