Lian Li V1010 Case Review

Introduction
When choosing a case for a custom PC there are quite a few options available and Lian Li has cases for all ranges that retail from $70 dollars to over $300. However one thing remains the same they have the same attention to detail and unique styling that sets them apart from other manufacturers. Of course you can get a case for less, but you get less of a case.
Lian Li is legendary in the watercooling and custom built PC world. With over twenty years in the business they bring their experience and expertise to every case they build. Their style and quality has dramatically raised the bar for case manufacturers. Features such as the brushed aluminum exterior and the divider plate have become hallmarks of their design. For 2008 Lian Li has introduced several new cases to it’s already large family.
Today we looking at the Lian li V-1010A/B.

The first thing that grabs you about a Lian Li is the finish. Their choice to use a brushed aluminum finish has definitely been a wise one, as the cases look stunning. The doors can be removed with a simple thumbscrew latch combo. Simply loosen the thumbscrew, pull the latch, and lift the side panel free.

Anyone familiar with Lian Li cases will notice some new features as well as some of the best of the previous generations. It is obvious that the engineers put a lot of effort into the case layout. The V1010 is a standard ATX layout as opposed to the V1000 which was an Inverted ATX design. The V1010 is large enough to accommodate the Extended ATX motherboards as well as graphics cards as long as 395mm. The additional space is a welcome addition for most builders as cables are much easier to hide in a large case.
There are several openings near the motherboard tray to aid in cooling and airflow along with a large opening at the bottom for power and data cables.
