Published: Thursday, September 24, 2009 | By: Will

We here at Ninjalane took notice of this company a while back named LucidLogix. Well it looks like the technology is ready for primetime, and MSI will have it installed on the Big Bang P55 motherboard. SLI and Crossfire may not matter here soon.

"Through the formation of this technology partnership, MSI and LucidLogix demonstrate how inventive collaboration can extend capabilities and create product innovation. The all-new premium line is inspiried by the "Big Bang" in astronomy, and is dedicated to unique innovation. Powered by the new Lucid HYDRA 200 real-time distributed processing engine, the MSI Big Bang mainboard features the first-ever universal multi-GPU mainboard. Already, its first technology showcase at IDF drew worldwide attention."

  • Intel Core i7 Goes Mobile - Core i7-920XM 'Clarksfield' CPU Review @ Legit Reviews

Published: Thursday, September 24, 2009 | By: Will

Come one, come all the new mobile processing beast is among us all. Intel has finally placed the newest of it's Core i7 processor line into the moblie market. This should be one awesome processor for this kind of platform.

"Based on the current 45nm Nehalem micro-architecture, the Intel Core i7 mobile lineup consists of three Clarksfield processors. The flagship mobile processor is the Core i7-920XM Extreme Edition followed by the mainstream Core i7-820QM and Core i7-720QM. The new platform brings the two-chip design to laptops which will increase efficiency when compared to the three-chip design of the Penryn-based mobile platform. With the memory controller now on the CPU and IO controlled by the PM55 Express chipset, we should see the mobile market catch up with the desktop market in terms of performance..."

I wonder how the heat envelope will be in this new lineup.wink smile

  • EVGA X58 SLI Micro LGA1366 mATX Motherboard Review @ Hardware Canucks

Published: Thursday, September 24, 2009 | By: Will

This board has everything, but the kitchen sink in a nice little cool looking package. Let's take a look at this review and see if it is everything you have ever wanted in the Micro-ATX board.

"The mATX form factor has really made a name for itself over the last few years and that has carried forward to the X58 chipset with fully featured monster boards packed into a small mATX form factor. The EVGA X58 SLI Micro continues that tradition by offering pretty much everything its full ATX X58 counterparts provide. The one big difference is the mATX form factor."

We here at Ninjalane love having our colors on such a cool looking board.big grin smile

  • DFI Hybrid Motherboard HD Video Preview (P45 + ION - Two Systems, One Mobo) @ Tweaktown

Published: Monday, September 21, 2009 | By: Will

Now this is a very cool idea. You can now be more productive than ever while using your computer with this new board.

"It turned out that DFI created a totally unique motherboard design that actually allows for two systems to run shared (KVM style) or fully independent of each other, on the one single board.

The left side of the system is built up of the components for the NVIDIA ION and Intel Atom platform. This part could be used as a low-power file server or torrent downloading system or even Blu-ray movie playback. And the right side of the board features the parts seen on a traditional P45 + Socket 775 CPU motherboard, which could be used for gaming, video editing or other intensive applications."

Corsair® Launches 650 Watt Professional Series Modular Power Supply

    - Successor to the critically-acclaimed HX620W delivers even higher performance -

FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 15, 2009 - Corsair®, a worldwide leader in high-performance computer memory, power supplies and flash memory products, including solid-state drives, today announced the launch of the Corsair Professional Series HX650W modular power supply.

The HX650W joins the multi award-winning HX750W, HX850W and HX1000W as part of Corsair's Professional Series of PSUs, all of which feature a comprehensive low-profile modular cable set, minimal noise levels, ultra-high efficiency, and the highest component quality and performance on the market."The Corsair HX650W is ideal for enthusiasts and gamers who are looking for a highly efficient, quiet, modular power supply, but don't need the higher wattages offered by the other PSUs in the Professional Series" said Jim Carlton, VP of Marketing at Corsair. "The HX650W offers the same unmatched quality standards and 7 Year warranty, but at a power level more suitable for mid/high-spec PC builds, such as those based on Intel's Core i5 and Core i7 'Lynnfield' processors."

The Corsair Professional Series HX650W uses industrial-grade components, ensuring stable, clean and reliable voltages, and delivers the vast majority of its total power output (96%) on its single 52A +12V rail. This is essential for reliably powering today's PCs with multi-core CPUs and graphics cards. The Professional Series HX650W is also tested and guaranteed to operate at 100% load at an ambient temperature of 50°C, guaranteeing stability and reliability no matter the conditions.

The Corsair Professional Series HX650W features a sophisticated, energy-efficient circuitry design that ensures maximum energy savings and minimal heat generation. This highly efficient design meets 80 PLUS BRONZE certification standards, ensuring a minimum efficiency of 82%, and typical efficiency of 85%.

The Corsair Professional Series HX650W also boasts an innovative cabling configuration that uses flat modular cables - including 4 x PCI Express connectors for SLI and CrossFire configurations - that help maximize airflow through the chassis. The modular design also simplifies installation as it allows you to utilize only those cables that are needed.
