CryoTech and New Cooling Technologies You've Never Seen @ FrostyTech
Published: Monday, August 17, 2009 | By: WillWe at Ninjalane love playing with different ways to cool our extremely hot systems. So now we have a new idea on how to go about cooling a system.
"Since today is bugger of a hot one, I thought it might be fun to depart from the usual pixel fodder and take a brief look at a few cool technologies you've (likely) never seen before, touch on some fun tests from Frostytech's unpublished archives, and collect all the thermodynamics research we've reported on recently into one location. This includes vapour chambers, thermoacoustic and phase change waterchilling, conduction cooled PCB and stirling Cycle Cryo Coolers among many others."
MuHaaaHaaa! Evil scientist laughter always makes my day.

AMD Previews DirectX 11 Gaming Performance on Evergreen @ Legit Reviews
Published: Monday, August 17, 2009 | By: WillThe clock is ticking for all kinds of great new stuff from all hardware directions. The graphic card market is starting to gear up for the DirectX 11 battle with AMD firing off about the new "Evergreen" graphic card.
"Taking a look at the back of the case we can see that the DX11 'Evergreen' graphics card is a dual slot solution. For hooking up monitors the card has a has a pair of dual DVI outputs and then both DisplayPort and HDMI connectors. There is also an exhaust port on the back for what could be an outside thermal exhaust system. This is one of the only pictures of this elusive video card on the web...."
I cannot wait for this fall!

NL: PC Game Reviews Roundup
Published: Friday, August 14, 2009 | By: WillHere is some PC game reviews for everyone to enjoy.
Joint Task Force - JTF - PC Review @ Gamepyre
"Now, if you were in a hurry and skipped all other sections of the review, I'm going to try my best to sum it up for you in just a couple of sentences. Joint Task Force (JTF) is a modern time military RTS. The graphics are good but they are by no means top of the line and the same can be said about the game's sound. Some of the game's features work really well, while others seem very buggy and unfinished. This game is a lot more entertaining in the skirmish or multiplayer modes considering that the storyline is rather boring. If you are ABSOLUTELY sick of WWII RTSs, this might be a nice stress reliever one skirmish at a time. But if you're expecting to play this game five years from now, you're expecting way, way too much out of JTF. I'll even go as far as saying that five years from now, this game will be completely forgotten."
Fall Out 3 Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt - PC Review @ Gamepyre
"As all successful games, it was only a matter of time before additional content was released. Sometimes companies really try to push over products on their unsuspected fans. The best example is the stand-alone expansion pack to Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes - Tales of Valor. By making it a stand alone copy, THQ had in fact stole a score. As a stand alone game, Tales of valor was good, but if it were not a stand-alone product, reviewers would not have given it a score over 30."

15 Case Mods From Quakecon 2009 on Day 1 @ Legit Reviews
Published: Friday, August 14, 2009 | By: WillNinjalane came onto the hardware scene some 10 years ago with making modding our big thing. Now we are into a little bit of everything, but we love to see some great Mods when we get a chance.
"I can't say that I have ever seen a full sized gas BBQ be turned into a PC, but now I can. The mod works great, but sadly the BBQ functionality has been totally lost. If only it had a working side burner! Just imagine you could BBQ up some dry rub spare ribs for dinner and frag at the same time..."
Mmmm...ribs!

DDR2 & DDR3 Dual and Triple Channel Memory Roundup: Corsair, Patriot, GeIL, Elixir @ ModReactor
Published: Tuesday, August 11, 2009 | By: WillWe at Ninjalane always love a great no hold bars cage fight amongst RAM. It is a great reason to wake up everyday with a smile.
"Recently the Modreactor lab got flooded with various memory kits. And though initially we were considering a series of reviews, eventually we decided to write a single mega article comparing different type, latency, volume and frequency modules in not only scaling performance and different platforms, but also in the field of subjective general feel about them, describing what we liked (or disliked) in each of them. And so, it's about time we get to the ultimate comparison of DDR2 and DDR3 memory kits with Core 2, Core i7 and Phenom II based systems!"
There is other reasons too, trust me!

DFI Lanparty Blood Iron P45-T2RS Elite Motherboard Review @ Hardware Canucks
Published: Tuesday, August 11, 2009 | By: WillIt is funny how with the new Core i7 and the Core i5 coming in a short time down the road we tend to forget about the awesome Core 2 setups. Here is a review of one awesome motherboard for the budget minded person.
"Even with the the i7 and their accompanying X58 boards being the current most sought-after combination when it comes to CPUs, LGA775 chips continue to sell well. Because of this, many companies have opted to release additional P45 boards into their lineups. DFI has done just that with their new $100 Blood Iron P45-T2RS Elite. Can this board live up to the legends put forth by past DFI products? We intend to find out."
I love the red color of these boards.

Corsair Obsidian Series 800D ATX Chassis Review @ Legit Reviews
Published: Tuesday, August 11, 2009 | By: WillThis case has been all the rage around the net ever since it was ever mentioned back in the day. Well to help keep us hungry for this new beast of a case Corsair has let the review samples out of the bag.
"The Corsair Obsidian 800D might be a massive full ATX tower chassis, but it was designed to be a well functioning chassis. Corsair wanted the case to be that large so multi-GPU video card setups could be used as well as allowing custom water cooling kits to be installed. The Corsair Obsidian Series 800D chassis is also an example of what happens when you think outside the box and design something from the ground up. Several of the design features are unique to this chassis and make it stand out from the crowd. It has clearly done well enough to earn our Innovation Award and we can't wait to see what Corsair is planning for their next case design..."
If you have not guessed it, then you do not read the news posts at all. For I want it one real bad!

OCZ and Indilinx Collaborate On New SSD Garbage Collection Scheme @ HotHardware
Published: Monday, August 10, 2009 | By: WillWith a title that includes OCZ, SSDs, and garbage it is a sure fire way to get attention. Let's read it though to see how Indilinx is helping OCZ Vertex SSD Drive lineup stay clean.
"OCZ, working in combination with Indilinx, is poised to release new firmwares for OCZ's entire line-up of Vertex Series SSDs that performs active garbage collection while the drives are idle to restore performance to like-new condition, even on a severely "dirtied" drive.
We just got our hands on a 120GB Vertex SSD that has been flashed with the new garbage collecting firmware, and wanted to give you all a glimpse as to how it works..."Now with just a little bit more of a price break and SSD's will be on everyones short list.
