Innovatek Premium XXS Watercooling Kit review @ Xtreme Resources
Published: Saturday, October 29, 2005 | By: DennisThis might be one of the most expensive cooling kits on the market.
"Innovatek is one of the pioneers in the watercooling industry, being one of the first companies that offered watercooling products for the PC enthusiasts. No wonder, like most of the oldest companies they are a company located in Germany, a country with somewhat of a ‘tradition’ on watercooling and a large market reflecting that. Innovatek has built the reputation of delivering top quality and silent products. Today we will take a look on a full watercooling kit, the Premium XXS, a simple and small but very effective kit for the average enthusiast. Let us see what Innovatek does to make their products differ from the masses."
Personally I feel the hoses are too small to make it very enthusiast friendly. -
Danger Den Acetal Maze4 GPU Block @ Techniz
Published: Saturday, October 29, 2005 | By: DennisFor those into watercooling you can't really go wrong with the Danger Den line of GPU coolers. They are compact and pretty much fit anything.
"Danger Den is kind enough to provide us the OCZ Copper BGA Ramsink for this review. The OCZ Copper BGA Ramsink has been designed to provide optimal heat dissipation when used on video card memory and small system components. If you are overclocking your video card, the OCZ Copper BGA Ramsink's will help you achieve better stability and greater performance."
In theory the ramsinks do help a little however keep in mind they are also designed for use with a nearby fan that isn't present when you watercool. -

Chaintech AE6800 PCI-E Review @ Paradise|OC
Published: Saturday, October 22, 2005 | By: DennisThere is nothing like seeing a hot chix after spending 400+ bux on some video hardware.
That is provided you didn't know there was one on the box to begin with.
"The box for this card is huge... ginormous... mastadonic, if I may. Is Chaintech making up for something, or are they just saying that their card has big performance? You be the judge. The back of the box lists all the features of the card, plus all the software and the information on it. It even lists other GeForce cards to compare to." -
Mobo makers: AMDs Socket M2 to simplify next-generation CPU
Published: Saturday, October 22, 2005 | By: Dennis"AMD’s Socket M2 CPU line will originally target the high-end market, the makers said, noting that the chip vendor has informed them that the 940-pin platform will also be released for the mainstream and entry-level segments next year. AMD is now delivering samples of the next-generation CPU to its downstream customers, the makers added.
During the platform migration, products that support the new Socket M2 and the old Socket 939 and 754 will still be on the market by the end of 2006, according to motherboard makers. The makers expect that AMD’s CPU standardization will help reduce production and handling costs." -
Rating Changed
Published: Thursday, October 20, 2005 | By: DennisFor all you HardOCP visitors, just letting you know that the reported 5 of 5 rating is actually incorrect. The correct 4 of 5 seemed to have not updated properly when the review went live.

DFI Infinity nF4 Ultra Motherboard Review Posted
Published: Tuesday, October 18, 2005 | By: DennisWhen DFI launched the LanParty line of motherboards they targeted at a very narrow though highly vocal sector of the hardware market with one purpose in mind. To get DFI known in the enthusiast community. The marketing and products were solid and as a result DFI and the LanParty series are household names.

RaidMax Ninja 918 @ Bigbruin
Published: Monday, October 17, 2005 | By: DennisThe natural progression for pre-mods is to first play around with windows and custom front panels, then of course to charge an extra 20 bux to make it seem cool. Then you move to doing something extreme like the Raidmax Samurai. So after that what comes next??
Yep you guessed it, change the style slightly and slap in a window.

Bytecc LANDISK NAS Hard Drive Enclosure @ A True Review
Published: Monday, October 17, 2005 | By: DennisWe had an opportunity to check out this little number ourselves and found it to be a pretty slick little machine.
"One device that makes data even easier to share on a network is an external NAS hard drive. Just as a router allows you to share a single Internet connection without the need for any particular computer to be on, a NAS (which stand for Network Attached Storage) hard drive allows you to share a drive full of data without needing any particular computer to be on. As the availability and popularity of NAS drives continue to rise, NAS enclosures are becoming more available as well. A NAS enclosure allows you to turn any hard drive, old or new, into an external NAS drive. One example is the LANDISK enclosure from Bytecc, which is the subject of this review."
Here is ours for comparison purposes.
