Alpha PAL8150 Heatsink Review Posted
Published: Friday, April 8, 2005 | By: DennisAircooling is the tried and true method for system cooling and for every one cooler you find you will find 20+ more that perform the same if not better than the first. The Alpha PAL8150 is certainly is one of the chosen few that can actually outperform many coolers on the market and thus keeps with the rich Alpha tradition.

Sansun LED Keyboard @ InsaneTek
Published: Friday, April 8, 2005 | By: DennisThis keyboard is actually pretty cool, though since it is a keyboard there isn't much you can say about it.
"The main attraction of the keyboard is the blue LED lights. The standard left section lights up when the system is turned on. The number pad area only lights up when your cell phone goes off. The number pad LED's are GSM sensitive. I recorded a small video clip of the lights in action."
I can say our video was cooler.

- Corsair claims it has world’s fastest DDR2 memory module
- OCZ offers custom-built memory for DFI LANParty nForce4 series
I've been trying to get in contact with A-Data but it would seem they don't sell direct to the US, if anyone can confirm or deny this please let me know. -
nForce4 SLI Intel Edition Round-up
Published: Friday, April 8, 2005 | By: DennisFor those of us that missed it here is a round up of sites that did a preview of the new chipset.
- Intel SLI @ Viperlair
- Intel SLI @ Bjorn3D
- Intel SLI @ Hexus
- Intel SLI @ Neoseeker
- Intel SLI @ The Tech Report
- Gigabyte Intel SLI @ PC Stats
I'd say "Stay tuned for our review of the nVidia nForce4 SLI Intel edition", but we don't have one so it would be somewhat pointless.

Nvidia SLI Performance Test @ Overclockers New Zealand
Published: Friday, April 8, 2005 | By: DennisWhat is wrong with this statement?
"hose of us who are old enough know that Voodoo1/2 SLI gave the best 3D performance on the market. When they were the kings of the hill, no other cards even came close in terms of performance and visual quality. However, with the demise of Voodoo and the utilisation of AGP, we no longer have the luxury of linking up two graphics cards to enjoy the outrageous performance." -
Thermaltake Shark Aluminum PC Case Review @ Ascully
Published: Tuesday, April 5, 2005 | By: DennisThis isn't really a modders case but does have some potential for drawing some attention.
"Thermaltake are well known for their high quality products and this is no exception. Even before you open the box you know you are in for a treat. The retail packaging clearly shows all the features of this case, of which there are many, and the water theme is carried out with an aqua blue color scheme. Inside the box the case is poly bagged, then book ended in two large thick pieces of polystyrene."
Call me crazy but I really like the modders mesh in place of a window on the side panel, This is pretty creative IMO. -
Intel Dual Core: Pentium EE 840 Arrives @ Legit Reviews
Published: Tuesday, April 5, 2005 | By: Dennis*sniff*

"Today, for the very first time, Intel is letting the media show off the Intel Pentium Processor Extreme Edition 840. Legit Reviews has the pleasure of being among the first to use the Intel 955X Express chipset, the I/O Controller Hub (ICH7/R), and the Pentium Extreme Edition 840 processor."
One thing I have started to notice is that Kyle over at the [H] hasn't been doing many of these reviews... Kind of makes you wonder why. -
Intel Pentium Extreme Edition 840 and 955X Express Chipset @ Hexus
Published: Tuesday, April 5, 2005 | By: DennisIntel dual core info just released. I dunno about you but I think Intel could have done well if they allowed the Pentium 4 to do SMP out of the box.
"Dual-core processing is literally what it sounds like. Two independent execution cores on a single piece of silicon and, consequently, in one processor package. Sounds like an intriguing proposition, doesn't it? Intel thinks so, and has invested heavily in research and development for an entire family of soon-to-be-released dual- and multi-core CPUs." -
A-DATA Vitesta PC4800 1GB DC Kit @ InsaneTek
Published: Tuesday, April 5, 2005 | By: DennisI suppose this is one way to get some sweet review samples. On a side note I've seen ads for this kind of memory all over in Taiwan though didn't know enough about the company to put 2 and 2 together.
"Because A-DATA high performance memory can't be easily found, I took advantage of my vacation back to Taiwan and picked up a couple of sticks of their TCCD based memory. Their highest rated TCCD based memory is rated to run at a stunningly high 300HTT." -
Abit AN8 Fatal1ty Review @ Marns CDA
Published: Tuesday, April 5, 2005 | By: DennisNow this is what I'm talking about.
" I must say this motherboard is one of the flashiest AMD boards I have yet to come in contact with. "ABIT" and "Wendel" do a great job of adding lots of extras for your gaming enthusiast.. The entire back side of the board appears to have LED's spaced out so that the board glows a sick red."
I can just imagine what this might look like in a clear acrylic case though unless you are very clean with your cables any amount of glow from behind a motherboard would not be seen by anyone.
