After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Conclusion

CoolerMaster has realized the desires of their customers and has reworked one of the most popular CM cases on the market today.  We touched on many of the major highlights of the CM690II but when compared to the original CM690 you quickly realize that many of the subtle changes will go unnoticed.

One of the biggest features found in this case is the ability to install two dual 120mm radiators and still have room for a decent sized PSU, long video cards, and 6 drives of various types.  We would have liked the option to use a triple fan radiator up top, however the addition of the top mounted X-Dock and relocated power and reset buttons prevent this from happening.

There are numerous touches on the case that directly affect cooling.  Things like larger fan support, fan filters at the bottom of the case, and open fan locations at the top help to increase airflow while also reducing the amount of dirt and dust that can get inside.  Of course CoolerMaster is no stranger to getting great airflow in their cases and has no doubt helped in their decisions when creating the 690II Advanced.

Now for the ever popular list of Good things and Bad things.  happy smile
