After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Case Interior

The most unique thing about this case is the fancy bodywork that encases the entire chassis. These panels are held into place by a combination of small machine screws and plastic pressure locks. For reinforcement many portions of the bodywork are extruded and mount directly to the inner chassis.
The interior structure is comprised of a steel frame made from SECC 0.8mm steel. The material is thicker than what you would find on most pre-modded cases. You can expect the case to be stronger and slightly heavier as a result. From a casemodding perspective the stronger material is better and allows you more freedom with your designs.
The plastic panels are assembled in several sections to make up the entire look of the case. The joints are canceled in plain sight around corners and edges. The only exception is on the side panel, here a small section of bodywork wraps around the front of the case to cover the front fan. A small piece of metal is used to help reinforce the area.
With the primary focus on outward design I wasn't really expecting to see so many fasteners used to hold the bodywork in place. On further inspection it was discovered that all of the bodywork is attached like this.

I never thought I would say this but due to solid product engineering you won't find the Samurai naked in this review. happy smile
