After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Conclusion

The minimum power supply wattage goes up every couple of years.  From 350W to 550W, then to 620W+ and now, the norm is becoming 750Watts or greater for the enthusiast build.  With CrossFireX, and Quad SLI technology reaching more and more of the super high-end buyers and regular CrossFire and SLI  to a majority of gamers, overclockers, and enthusiasts, bigger and more powerful PSU’s are needed, and Corsair’s CMPSU-750TX  fits right in.

With both ATX12V v2.2 and v2.01 support, 80+, and SLI certification, and a ton of other great features, this power supply is one of the greats, a unit that is high quality, high powered, has an excellent appearance, at a great price point
750 watts may not be totally future proof, but considering there is currently only one setup to date that pushes above 750 watts, and consumers are trying to make manufacturers provide lower power components that are “green” and save on the power bill. Who knows, it may be enough for five more years, it may not, technology is impossible to predict.

Now for the ever popular list of Good things and Bad things happy smile
